While Natalya works in technology for labor organizing full-time, they spend their time outside
the union leading political education and community organizing with the Claudia Jones School.
Natalya devotes much of their time to leading the Free DC Popular Education working group,
hosting DC history reading groups, advocating for equitable neighborhood green spaces like
Amigos Park in Mt. Pleasant, and uplifting local journalism through their writing for 730DC.

Natalya has learned invaluable skills and tactics from Fair Budget Coalition’s Constituent
Leadership Program and is excited to build towards a fully participatory budget process in DC.
