Charlottie’s values and concern for equity and racial justice for the residents of DC are of great
importance to me both civically and personally. She has been a devout and active advocate
member of the FBC since November 2023, and gave her first in-person testimony before the
former TRC in collaboration with FBC.

She hopes to be an integral part of the efforts and issues, for which we the FBC fights for, each
budget year. We make good trouble, and she wants to be a catalyst of that trouble. Charlottie is
an old civil rights soldier from the Dr. Martin L. King era starting at the age of 15.

She has the experience, knowledge and understanding of the need and mission. She is willing
to commit to the effort it takes to achieve the organization’s goals.
