Thuy Nguyen serves as the Deputy Director of Development and Partnerships at the Fair Budget Coalition, where she works to build the relationships, resources, and organizational infrastructure needed to sustain FBC’s fight for racial and economic justice. She approaches development as more than fundraising: it is an opportunity to build trust, align shared values, and move resources toward communities most directly affected by inequitable systems.

A daughter of Vietnamese refugees and a queer woman raised in Hawaiʻi, Thuy’s commitment to justice is deeply rooted in her family’s experiences of migration, resilience, and building community across cultures. Growing up in one of the most diverse places in the country shaped her belief that our differences are a source of collective strength and that everyone deserves the resources, dignity, and power to thrive.
