We are calling on government officials to assume responsibility for protecting the rights of vulnerable, low income Barry Farm residents immediately!
DC Fair Elections
One person, one vote: That’s how we’re taught elections in our democracy are supposed to work. Except these days there's another election: Call it the money election. And in the money election, most people don’t have any say at all. Instead, a few super-wealthy individuals and corporations back the candidates they think will raise enough money to run the kind of high-priced campaign it takes to win.
Save Our System
Save Our System is a coalition of public transit riders, community organizations, faith groups, labor organizations, and small businesses working to improve WMATA services. Save Our System coalition was convened by Americans for Transit.
The Incarceration to Incorporation Entrepreneurship Program Act establishes a program is tasked with investing in businesses owned or run by returning citizens — who often have limited or no access to traditional sources of capital — and with providing these residents with access to essential educational programs, skills training, and
mentorship and networking opportunities.
DC Grassroots Planning Coalition
The DC Grassroots Planning Coalition (DCGPC) is a citywide network of individuals and organizations who are committed to furthering racial, economic and environmental justice by challenging rampant development which contributes to gentrification and displacement of existing residents. The Coalition supports community-led development which creates uplift, opportunity and ownership for low income communities of color.
